Hello my name is Willie Ann Thompson, most people call me Ann. I am retired, I love being with family and friends, and I love cooking. I hope you will come aboard and join my family and I to learn some old fashioned cooking. These recipes are what I've learned from my mother and they hold a special place in my heart. I am excited to get to share them with you!

How I Cook My Turkey Wings With Rice
Переглядів 26428 днів тому
I am so sorry, I didn't record the adding of the rice to the pot and baking the turkey wings. First of all once the turkey wings are fork tender take the turkey wings out of the pot and put them in a pan and add some seasoned salt, accent and black pepper and bake in a 400 degrees oven until brown. Add a half cup of washed rice to the pot the turkey wings were in and cook until the rice is done.

No salt was needed in the beans. Because the cured neck ones are salty. They were seasoned to taste and were delicious.

How To Cook Beef Liver And Onions With Gravy
She taught me how to cook corn 2024 preciate that auntie 😂💯💪🏾
As I asked before: Have you ever done your greens as my mom did? She would boil them as usual. They can be eaten as is. However, she would fry them for the finished product. The frying is more like sauteeing. Mostly in fried meat grease. Old school. Other people did that in my area also. Boiled, then fried/ grease sauteed. Have you ever heard of cooking greens that way? Edfie Hodges
Have you ever heard of cooking your collard greens like my mother fmdid? She would boil them as you do. Then she would fry them afterwards. ????? Eddie Hodges
You did a great job.Thank you Auntie
what were the ingredients other than oil and sugar?
My grandmother made it like that, sure do miss that good southern cooking. Bless you and be well and thank you. 😁
Looks yummy, as always! ❤
Good stuff. Thanks Ann
Delicious looking dish ❤
The video say how to cook lama beans but does not tell you how to cook lama beans
How long do you let it cook in the pot
Early county,Blakely,Ga. They call it blackberry doobie!
Okay, some places change the name on mostly everything. That's alright.
Looks tasty 💨
Thank you so much!
Looks delicious!!!! My absolute favorite dessert. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome, Jacqueline!
Looks so good! I'm lucky to have raspberries and blueberries growing in my yard, so that's what I use for my baked goods.
They are just as delicious. Lucky you! Thanks for the comment!

Yummy 😋looks so delicious!!
Thank you so much!
I have never had barbecued neck bones. I have had barbecued pork ribs and pork chops so I guess the taste is similar. They look delicious and I need to try this recipe.
You really do, because they are good and they don’t taste like the other pork meat they taste different.
As always, your finished dish looks delicious.
Thank you so much!
Can you make a video on how to cook green cowpeas?
No, you got that one on your own.
Looks good!
Thank you so much, Ruthia!
what is the recipe thanks
You need one cup of rice and one can diced tomatoes, tablespoons of oil used is better, and seasoned salt, pepper, if you like, can use some slap your momma seasoning or any other Cajun seasoning.
Not helpful at all
What are you looking for? You picked this video to watch stupid, not me.
You didn't show anything
I have other videos cooking lima beans, watch some of them.
I guess tge potatoes act as a thickener. EH
Yes, I don't add a thickener when I add potatoes. If you like a thick gravy on your potatoes, go ahead and add a thickener
First time I known you to mention pork or beef neck bones. Great!!!!! Eddie Hodges
Oh, okay; I'm glad you found the video.
Thanks!
Looks so delicious. I remember that way growing-up in Georgia, and the tradition being kept when my family moved to the north. Awesome!!!!! Eddie Hodges Phila., PA
Thank you so much, Eddie!
Did you use flour or anything to thicken your gravy in this recipe? Ed H.
No, I only use a thickener when I am making gravy on the neckbones.
Okay! Thanks!
Love your cooking! Awesome! However, I'm always wondering weither you're cooking with pork, or beef neck bones. I know both can be used interchangeably. But, I think you should make that known. Even if you don't nention pork or beef neck bones, you can just say either-or can be used, cause, doesn't beef neck bones take longer to cook? Eddie Hodges Phila., PA (but born in Georgia USA).
I have pork neckbones all the time. If I have beef Neckbones I will say these are beef Neckbones. You could tell the difference by looking at them because beef have red meat
Thanks! Actually, I figured just as you answered: Thay you are using pork neckbones unless you mention otherwise. Where in Georgia are you from? Meaning your style? I was born in Sandersville.
Hi! Awesome! I've been living in Philadelphia, PA, for 40 years. I'm originally from Georgia USA (Sandersville, GA). Your recipes and style of cooking is very much, or exactly the way my parents and everyone in that area did their cooking. A lot is coming back to me. Awesome! However, what part of Georgia are you from? What part is your style from? Sandersville is located in the Middle Geargia region. Washington County, GA. Thanks and please reply. Eddie Hodges Phila., PA
I know where Sandersville, Ga. located. I don't live too far away. I live in Swainsboro, Ga.
Yes. I'm familiar to Swainsboro. We played Swainsboro alot in baseball and softball . Thank you! Edfie Hodges Phila., PA. USA
👍they look great
Thank you so much, Ruby!

Looking good as always ❤
Thank you so much, Bernice!
That’s got to make a house smell so welcoming❤! Thank you Ann!🫶🏼😃
You are so welcome Sus, it does make a house smell good.
Food looks delicious but the only thing I didn't like is she didn't tell you how long she or how long too cook them other than that she gets a 10!!!
The amount of time depends on your amount, it took mind about one and a half to two hours. You have to check for tenderness. That's mainly determines the doneness.
Sure looks good!
Thank you, Nan. I haven't made any Smothered Chicken in a while probably why it was very good to me.
Looks delicious I love smothered fried chicken I haven't cooked that in a while I'm going to cook that today with yellow rice, cabbage and cornbread ❤❤

Thank you so much Staci!
Hi Ms. Ann my neighbor went to Church's Chicken to order some fried okra and cashier told her, that they charge $4.95 fir 10 pieces of okra!!! That's ridiculous!!! TFS this delicious fried okra!!!
You are so welcome Tina, that was ridiculous. Everything is sky-high. It doesn't make sense.
If it's made with tomato, please call it sauce and not gravy 🤌🏻
I want some❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are welcome to have some of this dish.
They look like they taste real good too, thank you Ann! Stay blessed.
You are so welcome Calvin!
